The manifesto
Present. Not tracked.
Parages rests on one conviction: getting closer to your friends should never cost you your privacy.
We all have a friend ten minutes away we never see.
Distance was never the problem. It is that we miss the moment the chance is right there, one street over.
Surveillance is not friendship.
Watching a dot move on a map has never brought anyone together. It informs, sometimes it worries, it builds no bond.
Your location never leaves your phone.
The computation happens on your device. We never receive your map, so we cannot lose it, sell it, or hand it over.
Privacy by default, not as an option.
No setting to switch on, no box to uncheck. The architecture protects you, not our goodwill.
- We track nobody.
- We sell no data.
- We keep no trip history.
- We nudge you at the right moment, and that is all.
